The Town

A huge expanse of varied coastline makes up Ballybunion. Sand-dunes to the south which are the raw material for Ballybunion’s famous Golf Course.
To the north the rocky shoreline made of spectacular high cliffs, caves, sea arches and stacks.
In between the environmental “Blue Flag” awarded golden sandy beaches that visitors marvel at and photograph.

Ballybunion is home to two majestic golf link courses consistently ranked among the best in the world.
There is great angling, surfing and pony trekking if you want to cover every inch of coastline without getting your feet wet.

At night the town comes alive with great seafood restaurant, lively pubs and night clubs.
Or if you are looking for a relaxing late evening stroll why not take a two minute walk to the beach to watch Loop Head Lighthouse light up the beach and water.

Ballybunion now proudly hosts a newly built traditional Irish music and cultural theatre, The Tintean, the second largest theatre in Ireland.
